Oh, We really wanted to check out the boxes by Seneca Rocks on our trip, It was so hot that when Dave asked if I'd rather do boxing or go to a cave? I voted for 55*F cave. If you plant more then we'll have more to search for on our next trip down.

What cave? A wild cave or a show cave? If it was a show cave was it Seneca Caverns or Smokehole?

Show caves for us, and Seneca Rocks in this instance. More to the LB topic for all: Putting a box near a publically-available, easier access show cave can help in the heat of the Summer (if y'all get heat in the Summer), just for the refreshing break after a hot search.
There's some great caves all along the Appalachians, I can tell you! I expect that the owners are probably more likely to want folks to come and visit much more than, say, some parks.
